Dollar Store Score: Double Easy Erasers - Just Like 'Magic'

I love the Dollar Store - Dollarama to be specific - and I don't think its much of a secret.  And while out on one of my shopping 'sprees', I saw this little guy hanging out with the microfiber cloths on the Great Wall of Kitchen, and I thought, hey why not?

Ottawa Grocery Deals & Coupon Match Ups March 30 - April 5

So here's a list of great deals this week at local grocery stores, with coupon match ups.  I'm not including the coupons you might find on a tear pad, on packaging, inserts, etc... as those are hit and miss for everyone, but instead I'm matching up the coupons you can print or request and therefore available to everyone!  I've linked to the still active coupons, and just mentioned the still valid (the ones you should already have). This is what caught my eye this week:

Menu Planning Monday - March 26 - Low Carb / Gluten Free

Hubby and I have changed up our eating habits.  We're watching our carbohydrate intake.  We've cut out sugar and flour.  Some may call it low carb, some may call it high protein, and really, I'm okay with either one.  But after talking to people about going "low carb" and seeing them wrinkle their nose, when I called it Gluten Free (which it also happens to be) it seems to be more widely acceptable.  So, call it what you want, we've cut out sugar, pasta, rice, potatoes and bread.  Our side dishes are usually salads or sauted or steamed veggies.  If a recipe here sparks your interest, add a pasta or rice side dish if you'd like.

Here's what I'm cooking up this week:

This recipe had a couple of firsts for me - I think I've maybe eaten pesto like twice in my life - and I'm not sure if I've ever eaten ricotta cheese - and if I did, I didn't know it.

Hubby on the other hand loves pesto, so when I came across this recipe, I thought, why not?

Buffalo Chicken & Potatoes - $1.34 / serving

This was one of those recipes where I had to scratch my head... we love all the ingredients - but together?  Well, you only live once, so why not?
